Inkido terms

These terms are the agreement between you, the parent or guardian, and Inkido, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada, owned by Vikrant Vishnoi. By making an account you agree to them and to our privacy policy.

Who can use Inkido

• Inkido is for children aged 8 to 12, used with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
• Only an adult can make an account. You are responsible for the account and for the writers you add (up to 4 per family).
• Keep your password to yourself. Some parent choices, like approving friends, need it.
• Please don’t try to break, copy or misuse Inkido, or help a writer cheat other writers in leagues. We may close accounts that do.

Free and Pro

Unit 1, friends and leagues are free. Pro opens every unit and more Inky checks for every writer in the family. Paid plans are sold by Link, a Stripe company that acts as our reseller, so your receipt and card statement come from Link and Link’s own terms apply to the payment. We provide Inkido itself and answer your questions.

Prices and currency

You pay in the currency shown at checkout for your country. Today’s prices are:

In other countries, checkout may show the price converted into your local currency. If we change a price, we’ll email you before it applies, and the new price starts at your next renewal, never in the middle of a period you’ve paid for.

Free trial

Each family can have one 7-day free trial of Pro. You add a card at checkout but aren’t charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. If you don’t cancel, your plan starts and renews automatically. A family that already had a trial under another email address doesn’t get a second one. We email you before the trial ends.

Renewing and cancelling

Pro renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. We email you before a yearly plan renews. You can cancel any time from Manage subscription in Profile. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then the family moves to Free. Writers keep their XP, stars, badges and stories, and Unit 1 stays open. Deleting the account cancels Pro straight away with no further charges. The rest of that period isn’t refunded, except under the refund rule below.

Refunds

If you’re not happy, email support@inkido.ca within 14 days of your first payment after the trial, or of a yearly renewal, and we’ll refund that payment in full and end Pro. Each family can get this refund once. Monthly renewals and later payments aren’t refunded, but you can cancel any time so you aren’t charged again. If we close a paid account when it isn’t your fault, we refund the part of the period you haven’t used. Nothing here takes away any refund rights the law where you live gives you.

Writing and Inky

• What a writer writes belongs to them. You let us store it, show it to your family and send it to Inky for feedback, only to run Inkido, as the privacy policy explains.
• Inky’s feedback is written by an AI and can be wrong. It is a helper for practice, not a teacher’s grade.
• The lessons, art and Inky character belong to Inkido.

If something goes wrong

We work hard to keep Inkido running and safe, but we can’t promise it will never be down or have mistakes. As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any problem is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it applies.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. This doesn’t remove consumer protections you have where you live.
