Inkido turns creative writing into a game. Bite-sized lessons teach kids to swap boring sentences for vivid ones, collect juicy vocabulary, and earn XP, stars and streaks along the way.
Every lesson is a quick run of game-like exercises. Inky the ink drop cheers your writer on and explains every answer.
Each unit is a topic kids love, like a Spooky Forest or a Wild Storm, packed with words that fit it.
Spot the better sentence, drag in the perfect word, sort sensory details and write your own upgrades.
Collect stars, keep the streak alive and climb from Apprentice to Legend as the writing grows.
Unit 1 is free forever. Pro unlocks every unit, extra hearts and a brand-new unit every month.
“My son used to write ‘it was fun’ for everything. Now he argues about whether the wind howled or shrieked.”
“The streak is the magic. She does her lesson before breakfast so Inky doesn’t look sad.”
“I use the Spot the Upgrade exercises as a warm-up. The ‘why it’s better’ explanations do my teaching for me.”

Inkido is designed for kids aged 8 to 12. Younger writers can play with a grown-up nearby, and older kids enjoy the harder Level 4 and 5 writing challenges.
No. Most exercises are tap or drag. The “Level Up the Sentence” exercises ask for one sentence of 8 to 10 words, which builds real writing stamina without feeling like homework.
Inkido checks that each upgraded sentence is long enough and uses at least one word from the lesson’s word bank. If not, Inky gives a specific tip, like adding a sound word.
