Families

Reluctant writers, suddenly asking for “one more lesson”.

“My son used to write ‘it was fun’ for everything. Now he argues about whether the wind howled or shrieked.”

Parent of an 11-year-old
“I use the Spot the Upgrade exercises as a warm-up. The ‘why it’s better’ explanations do my teaching for me.”

FAQ

Questions grown-ups ask.

What ages is Inkido for?

Inkido is designed for kids aged 8 to 12. Every writer plays at their own grade level: Explorer for Grades 3 and 4, Adventurer for Grades 5 and 6 and Trailblazer for Grade 7. A short placement game picks the level, and lessons adjust as your writer improves.

Does my child need to type a lot?

Some. Most exercises are tap or drag. A few in each lesson, the “Level Up the Sentence” ones, ask your writer to type one sentence of their own, which builds real writing stamina without feeling like homework.

How do the writing checks work?

Inky, Inkido’s writing coach, reads each sentence your writer types. It checks spelling, grammar, whether the sentence makes sense and whether it uses the lesson’s skill, then gives one clear tip, like adding a sound word. Inky’s feedback is written by an AI model from Anthropic; see our privacy policy.

Can I cancel Pro anytime?

Yes. Pro is billed monthly or yearly and you can cancel whenever you like. Your child keeps their XP, stars and badges, and Unit 1 stays free.

How many children can use one plan?

Up to 4 writers per family, each with their own path, level and progress. Pro covers all of them for one price.

Is it safe? Are there ads?

There is no chat, no messaging between kids and no ads anywhere in Inkido. Friends need a grown-up’s yes on both sides, and progress is saved to your child’s profile only.
